Case Studies

Sbeys

Maxi Canada is a food service manufacturer and distributor serving markets across North America. They called on Faxinating because they were dissatisfied with their EDI processes.

Maxi had been using EDI to receive purchase orders from their retailers, but were unhappy because each trading partner had their own version of EDI and it was becoming increasingly difficult to support each flavour. Also, each new setup added to the number of problems, since each new partner had a different EDI standard to conform to.

Maxi wanted to eliminate their problems entirely by outsourcing their EDI capability. So they turned to Faxinating Solutions.

EDI Outsourcing

Faxinating offered to provide outbound and inbound EDI hosting so that Maxi could eliminate their EDI integration software altogether. Instead of receiving disparate EDI purchase orders, Maxi would receive the orders from Faxinating in a format of their choosing.

Faxinating also manages the relationships with the trading partner, so that whenever a new partner needs to be set up, when standards change or when a migration to a new VAN is done, it doesn't impact upon Maxi.

Benefits

The benefits of outsourcing your EDI are clear. Setting up and managing EDI partnerships takes time, effort and money. Outsourcing reduces all these and enables a company to focus on their core business processes, in Maxi's case, the manufacture and distribution of quality food products.
